So What Exactly Is CBD?
CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is an all-natural, non-psychoactive compound extracted directly from the industrial Hemp plant.
It has generated interest worldwide after reputed organisations like W.H.O. and The UN published reports of its wide-ranging health benefits.
CBD interacts with the endocannabinoid system, already present in the human body, and acts as a messenger to regulate and balance basic bodily functions; thus helping normalise sleep, anxiety, mood, and pain.
What is THC?
THC is the psychoactive component of the hemp plant - It too has a variety of benefits. THC can work together with CBD for even greater efficacy.
Where Do CBD And THC Come From?
CBD and THC are cannabinoids present in the hemp plant, a member of the Cannabis species of plants.
Cannabinoids are extracted from the plant using a variety of different methods - keep in mind that the type of extraction method used has a significant impact on the final extract
What is the endocannabinoid system?
The ECS is perhaps the most important regulatory function in the human body. It has a variety of receptors present in the immune system and brain, and signals cells in the body to help with physiological and cognitive activity.
What does the EC System do?
The ECS regulates and controls many of our most critical bodily functions such as learning and memory, emotional processing, sleep, temperature control, pain control, inflammatory and immune responses, and eating.
Is CBD Safe For Us?
Absolutely Yes!
Reports by W.H.O. suggest that CBD is well tolerated with a good safety profile. However we would always recommend to check with your doctor if you’re on any other medications and plan on using CBD regularly. CBD is being recommended by doctors, celebrities, athletes, and nutritionists worldwide.
It’s no surprise that health professionals like Melissa Wood, and athletes like Professional boxer Mike Tyson, Golfer Charley Hoffman, Footballer Megan Rapinoe, and MMA fighter Nate Diaz are big fans of the compound.
Celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Tom Hanks, Kim Kardashian, and Morgan Freeman aren’t shy about their love for CBD products and have often quoted about healing powers of CBD oils and muscle rubs.
