How much CBD should I take?
The right dosage for YOU.
CBD is available on the market in several forms. From oils, tinctures, gels and creams to CBD infused gummies and coffee. The ideal dosage varies from person to person, based on the severity of your concern. Here’s how to figure out the right dosage for you.
Before buying your first bottle, here are a few important things to keep in mind:
Don’t choose your dosage based on someone else’s experience
Everyone responds to CBD differently, that's why it’s imperative to assess how it is affecting you individually. Dosages will differ from person to person.
Start with a smaller dose
Always start with smaller doses and then gradually increase according to your requirements. This is an important step to determine exactly how much CBD you need.
It’s best to keep track of your intake
Always keep a tab on how much CBD you’re taking. Constantly note how well your body is responding and how much of an improvement you’re seeing in your symptoms.
CBD products differ in strength. Check your bottle to understand how much CBD is present in 1 mL of CBD oil. For example, Qurist’s strong CBD oil contains 33mg of CBD in 1mL of solution and the mild CBD oil contains 16mg of CBD in the same. From there you can increase or decrease your CBD intake by regulating the serving size as per your concern in 1mL intervals.
Below is a chart to help you figure out your initial dose based on your weight and the severity of your concern.
CBD dosage is unique to everyone. Some require a small dosage for minor issues whereas a much stronger dose is required for those with severe chronic ailments. Unless a specific dosage has been prescribed by your doctor, we recommend that one should start with milder doses and work their way up to an optimal dosage.
Is it possible to take too much CBD?
According to a 2011 review https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22129319 done by the National Library of Medicine on the safety and side effects of CBD it was found that continuous use of CBD, even in high doses like 1,500 mg a day, is very well tolerated by humans, and a 2017 update https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5569602/ made on the review has confirmed the legitimity of the study. World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that CBD poses no potential threat of misuse, overuse, or dependence.
So while it is okay to take as much CBD as you want, it’s best to find the optimal dose so you don’t waste your product by consuming more than what is required.
